Brinton M. Seldomridge
October 24, 1944 - March 21, 2022


Brinton (Brit) Seldomridge, of Smyrna, went to be the Lord his Savior on Monday, March 21, 2022.

He is survived by wife, Anne Seldomridge, daughters Kimberly Seldomridge Walls and Kristen Smith, son in law Nicholas Walls, grandson Cooper Smith and brother Everett Seldomridge. He was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Laura Seldomridge, brother Richard Seldomridge and sisters Lois Bottomley and Janice Leibow.

Born in West Grove, Pa. Brinton graduated from Kennett Consolidated School. Upon graduation, he served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965. He graduated from Wilmington University in 1991. He worked for Christiana Care for many years before starting his own painting business.

The love of his life after Jesus Christ his Savior, was his family. Anne, his wife of 41 years, two daughters Kim and Kristen from a previous marriage and his grandson Cooper.

Community involvement included being a hospice volunteer, CASA worker, Meals on Wheels and was a Big Brother. Brinton and his wife have sponsored 7 children over the years through Christian outreach organizations.

Brinton enjoyed napping with his beloved dog Murphy, listening for thunderstorms, eating out for breakfast, visiting Longwood Garden’s and learning to play the guitar.

The funeral will be held at Townsend Freewill Baptist Church, Tuesday, March 29. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 and the service following at 11.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Townsend Freewill Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.
